About Shiman
Professionally trained, performance-led and grounded in tradition.
Shiman Zhang is a Melbourne-based guzheng performer and educator. She entered Fujian Normal University’s Bachelor of Music Performance (Guzheng) program as the top-ranked applicant and completed her undergraduate training under Xu Bing.
Her training also includes direct instruction from renowned guzheng master and Battle Against Typhoon composer Wang Changyuan.
